UYUNI SALT FLATS
(3 days and 2 nights, from Uyuni)
Brief description of the tour (Shared tour)
DAY 1: The adventure begins with a visit to the Cementerio de Trenes (Train Cemetery) and the village of Colchani. This is a town that makes its living processing salt. There we will visit the micro-factories that refine table salt, as well as see huge piles and blocks of salt. Later we will visit the Salt Hotel which currently functions as a museum. Afterwards we will visit the Incahuasi Island, also called Fishermen"s Island (Isla Pescado). Then we will have lunch and walk around the Island in order to get a spectacular view of the enormous salt flats next to the Tunupa Volcano.
Finally we will continue our trip to San Juan.

DAY 2: After breakfast, we will enter the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve and visit the scenic overlook of the Volcano Ollag?e as well as the lagunas (lakes) of: Hedionda, Ca?apa, Chiar kota, Honda y Ramadita. Then, we will cross the Desert of Siloli where we will visit the Arbol de Piedra (Tree of Stone), a rock eroded by the wind, before arriving at the Laguna Colorada, its water red in color and inhabited by thousands of flamingo.

DAY 3: At 6:00 in the morning we will go to the Sol de Mañana (Tomorrow"s Sun) to view volcanic geysers and then continue on our trip to the hot springs of Polques. After breakfast we will visit the Valle de Dalí, impressive and immense landscape similar to a famous painting by Salvador Dali. We will also see the Laguna Verde. Here we make a connection to Chile (via San Pedro de Atacama) or return to Uyuni.
