FIRST DAY: (Welcome Reception and transfer to hotel)
Arrive El Alto International Airport. Personal welcome, assistance, and transfer to hotel. The remainder of the day is free for personal activities (acclimation).

SECOND DAY: (La Paz City Tour)
After breakfast, we will visit the city of El Alto, the La Paz city center, The Zona Sur (South Zone), and Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon). This tour will last approximately 4 ½ hours.

THIRD DAY: (Tour of Tiwanaku and trip to Copacabana)
After breakfast, we will set out on our trip to Tiwanaku, 72 kilometers away. Along the way we will be able to see and appreciate the town of Laja, the original site of the city of La Paz, founded on October 20, 1548. Afterwards, we will be taken to the scenic overlook of Lloqo Lloqo (13,215 feet above sea level), from which we can view the majestic Cordillera Real (eastern branch of the Andes mountain chain). Finally, we will arrive at Tiwanaku, a UNESCO World Heritage site. There we will visit the Kalasasaya Temple dedicated to the God of the Sun, along with the temples of Putu Putuni and Akapana, the underground shrine and its Lithic Museum (site of the Benett Monolith), and ceramics.
After lunch, we will continue on our way to Copacabana, while enjoying views of the “Sacred Lake of the Incas†(Titicaca), situated at 12,500 feet above sea level.

FOURTH DAY: (A Trek on the Island of the Sun from north to south, overnight stay on the Island)
After breakfast, we will travel by motorboat to Sabacera Bay on the north side of the Island of the Sun. Upon arrival we will begin our trek on the Inca Trail, visiting along the way the Chincana labyrinth, the sacred rock (rock of the mountain lion), and the table of sacrifices, among other attractions. During the trek we will be able to enjoy the views of the spectacular Eastern range of the Andes (Cordillera Real), alongside Lake Titicaca. Around 3:00 in the afternoon we will arrive at the south side of the island, check into our hotel, the Inti Kala Guest House, and rest for about 30 minutes before leaving to visit the temple of Pilocainia to admire the sunset from the apacheta (sacred rock pile).

FIFTH DAY: (Return to the city of La Paz)
After breakfast, we will visit the Fuente del Inca (Inca Fountain) and the Inca Staircase. Then we will return by motor launch to Copacabana, where will have lunch, and from there to the city of La Paz.

SIXTH DAY: (Travel to Uyuni- only Tuesdays and Fridays)
At 9:00 in the morning we will set out from La Paz to Oruro by bus and continue on from there to Uyuni by train (executive class), arriving there by 10:20 at night.

SEVENTH DAY: (Tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats)
The adventure begins at 10:30 in the morning, first visiting the Cemetery de Trenes (Train Cemetery) and the small village of Colchani. Then we will cross the middle of the Salt Flats (Salar), visiting on the way the Hotel de Sal (Salt Hotel) which presently functions as a museum. Later we will visit the Isla Incahuasi (Incahuasi Island) and the Isla Lomo Pescado (Spine of the Fish Island) and then return to the town of Uyuni.

EIGHTH DAY: (Travel from Uyuni to PotosÃ)
After breakfast, we will set out on our journey to PotosÃ. En route we will be able to observe countryside settings typical of the Altiplano (High Plateau) Region. We will arrive in Potosà around 3:30 in the afternoon, check into our hotel, and later go for a walk.

NINTH DAY: (City tour of Potosi, visit to a mine, and travel to Sucre)
After breakfast, we will visit one of the mines of the Cerro Rico (Rich Hill) in order to appreciate its magnificence in colonial times, and understand its present day role. In the afternoon we will visit the Casa de la Moneda (Mint), the Church of San Lorenzo, Santa Teresa, the historic center of PotosÃ, colonial streets, and miners’ neighborhoods.
Around 5:30 in the afternoon, we will resume our journey by private transport to the city of Sucre, arriving there around 8:30 in the evening.

TENTH DAY: (City Tour of Sucre and Visit to the Cretaceous Park of Cal Orck’o)
After breakfast, we will tour the beautiful city with four names (Sucre, Plata, Charcas, and the White City), which since colonial times still looks like a typical Spanish city. The tourist sites that we will visit are: La Casa de la Libertad (House of Freedom), the scenic overlook and tourist complex of La Recoleta. The Church of San Lázaro and Santo Domingo, the University Museum, and the Convent of San Felipe de Nery, among others of interest to visitors.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Cretaceous Park. This has 26 replicas of dinosaurs built to scale, with textures and colors so realistic they appear lifelike. In addition we
will tour the Farallón Cal Ork’o (Limestone Mountain) with its 5000 footprints of dinosaurs that inhabited the region more than 65 million years ago.

ELEVENTH DAY: (Travel to Santa Cruz by plane and welcome reception in hotel)
After breakfast, we will have the remainder of the morning free.
At 5:25 in the afternoon we will fly to Santa Cruz, arriving at 5:40. Transfer to hotel and welcome reception.

TWELVETH DAY (Samaipata Fort)
After breakfast, we will set out for Samaipata, located 120 kilometers from the city of Santa Cruz. En route we will see mesothermal (moderate climate) valleys. Around 10:30 am we will arrive at the archeological ruins of the Ceremonial Temple “el Fuerte†(the Fort). This is the most important archeological complex in Eastern Bolivia (the last pre-Inca stronghold and architectural jewel of the site). Afterwards we will tour the Archeological Museum of Samaipata, the handicraft workshops, the village, and its outskirts. After lunch, we will return to the city of Santa Cruz.

THIRTEENTH DAY: (Visit to the Church of San Javier-Jesuit Mission of Chiquitos)
After breakfast, we will set out on our trip to one of the churches of the Jesuit Missions of Chiquitos, which have been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Along the way we will be able to admire the typical countryside of Chiquitania. We will arrive at San Javier at noon. After lunch, we will visit the 17th century church and briefly tour the outskirts of the village. At 3:30 in the afternoon we will return to the city of Santa Cruz.

FOURTEENTH DAY: (Farewell and transfer to airport)
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to say farewell and for you to take your return flight.
